Council of Engineers & Valuers M.P. Chapter was inaugurated on Sunday, 9th December at Hotel Atishay, Bhopal.
The inauguration lamp was lit by senior most practicing valuer of Bhopal Er. I. A. Qureshi. In his inaugural speech Er. Qureshi gave useful tips to valuers and asked them to unitedly work in the interest of the society.
Background information and other details about CEV was given by CEV, State Coordinator Er. A.K. Das. In his address Er. Das discussed in details the changing professional scenario after enactment of Companies Act 2013 and Companies (Registered Valuers And Valuation) Rules, 2017. He discussed in details about valuers presently working under Sec. 34 AB of Wealth Tax Act 1957 and the effects on the profession after getting registered by IBBI under Companies act 2013.
On the occasion CEV, State Head Er. Ranjan K Raina talked about threats the valuers are likely to face after getting Registered in Companies Act. He also unmasked the so called training business by profit making Companies and questioned the efficacy of 50 hours training. He also questioned the unprecedented pattern of examination and minimum passing marks with negative marking. He stressed that those Valuers who do not wish to practice under Companies Act for insolvency etc. need not take the exam as the rules are meant for practicing under the said Act for Insolvency & Bankruptcy only.
Er. Sanjeev Agrawal, Executive member of CEV, M.P. Chapter and coordinator of the Inaugural function discussed about the future program of CEV M.P. Chapter. He asked the members to share their grievances with the chapter for deliberation and finding out amicable solution.
